| Planning A Nottingham Stag Weekend |
|
It's always a great honour to be chosen as the "best man" for your good friend's wedding party, but along with the grand title comes grand responsibility. Other than having to make yourself look good at the wedding ceremony (but not too good), and making a toast and a speech at the wedding reception (not too difficult), you're also in charge of arranging and organizing the groom's stag party. This is where the "responsibility" part comes in, because no longer are you just a participant at one of these wild functions--you're the man in charge of making it fun! Stag parties are a grand tradition, and the idea isn't to embarrass and belittle the groom, but rather to create a bachelor event that will be cherished and remembered for a lifetime--the last opportunity to party it up (so to speak). So if you're the man in charge of hitting downtown Nottingham on your best friend's last night as a single man, you better ensure that you've made some great evening (or weekend) arrangements to make it a sensation for not only the groom, but for all his mates who attend (including yourself). Now to be safe and sensible, you might want to get some assistance in organizing this once (or twice) in-a-lifetime event, because in most cases it take more than just a few phone calls to the boys, asking them to meet up at local pub for pints. To do it right, you might want to recruit some professional help, event organizers who know how to plan and organize Nottingham stag weekends, booking the transportation (you hadn't thought of that had you?), making reservations at hotels, restaurants, football matches, and so forth. Seriously, you didn't really know what you were getting into when you accepted your friend's offer to be the Best Man, did you? Yes, there's more to it than fitting yourself into a nice tuxedo and standing pretty next to the guy at the altar holding the ring, isn't there? If I were you, I wouldn't waste any more time thinking about the stag party, and I'd start spending more time planning it! |
